Now that I am on summer holidays I finally have the opportunity to do some of my favourite things that I have been missing so much, one being my fortnightly Sunday morning visits to the Village Markets.
The Village Markets is even more special now that my wonderful friend Robbie has started hosting a stall for her new business Madison and Montana, selling vintage homewares and stunning handmade soy candles in up-cycled vintage teacups and containers.
Madison and Montana sells stock on a regular basis on instagram, as well as hosting a stall at the Village Markets once a month (follow them at @madisonandmontanasoycandleco to get first dibs on all the best stuff). Since it is getting close to Christmas and into the present buying time of year, if you are after a unique gift for a vintage lover (or a little something for yourself), Madison and Montana is the perfect spot to look.
It has been so wonderful to watch the idea develop from a brief conversation in an op shop into a successful business within such a short period of time. Now my only problem is to decide on just one of the wonderful pieces to buy!
Get onto instagram (@madisonandmontanasoycandleco) or down to the Village Markets to check out the Madison and Montana stall, and all of the other wonderful stalls – if you haven’t been for a while the market has practically doubled in size!
UPDATE: I just bought the most stunning tiered cake stand made from vintage plates from the Madison and Montana on Instagram – I have wanted one like this for ages:
